I realised today that the supply of bitcoins simply follows a geometric sequence that converges to 21,000,000. You donโt need any upper summation limit, although the value 32 is usually presented in the so-called supply formula.
But you can try it with anything above 31 and most calculators will round up to 21,000,000.
Why is the sum of infinity not just presented? Why specifically 32 halvings?
